Freediving is the practice of diving underwater while holding a single breath, without the use of scuba equipment. By learning proper breathing techniques, relaxation methods, and efficient movement in the water, freedivers can explore the underwater world quietly and naturally. Freediving can be enjoyed recreationally on coral reefs, as a way to improve water confidence, or as a competitive sport focused on depth, distance, or breath-hold time. Many people find it to be a unique combination of adventure, mindfulness, and connection with the ocean.
AIDA (Association Internationale pour le Développement de l’Apnée) is one of the world's leading freediving organizations and sets internationally recognized standards for freediving education, safety, and competition. AIDA courses provide structured training for beginners through advanced freedivers, focusing on proper breathing techniques, equalization, safety procedures, and underwater skills. Whether your goal is to improve your comfort in the water, explore reefs on a single breath, or pursue deeper freediving achievements, AIDA certifications offer a safe and proven pathway to develop your skills and confidence.
