Xcalak

From Mahahual down south to the tip of Xcalak, the reef is the closest to the shore so you’ll only have to wait a few minutes to submerge in this wonderful world, including the national park Xcalak Reef Park. Xcalak Reef Park is located along the lower coast of Quintana Roo by the Caribbean Sea, bordering the Chetumal Bay to the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the few unspoiled areas of the Mayan coast, making it the perfect choice for diving enthusiasts who want to be in contact with the area’s underwater splendor.

There are several ecosystems in the area that are in an optimal state of conservation, such as coral reefs, wetlands, coastal lagoons, beaches, and jungle. The coral reefs are home to a great diversity of species such as the queen conch and lobster, among others.
